May I offer you a drink?

The power of some bubbly

One thing that strikes me every time we check into a new hotel is how few places have realized the importance of offering something to drink upon arrival. It is the best way to start a hotel stay. When you get some bubbly (or whatever tickles your fancy) in your system you immedetly feel more positive, towards everything. “Our room isn’t ready yet? No problem!” “Our room has two queens instead of a king? Nemas problemas!” Basically, it is a mood booster that sets me as a customer in a mood where I will be more accepting to whatever comes my way and most likely appreciate the hotel and the service even more which will most likely lead to more positive reviews and recommendations.

And for the record, I just want to clarify that it doesn’t have to be an alcoholic beverage. It is the drink offer itself that is key. So start stocking your fridges with some bubbly or heating up your espresso machines and I promise that customer satisfaction rates will soar.

Below are some places we’ve stayed at that have realized the importance of a drink upon arrival.
