3 great hotel dogs

Hotel dogs

I don’t understand why hotel dogs isn't more of a thing. How come more hotels haven’t understood and embraced the excellent idea of “employing” a four-legged furry staffer. When we stayed at Casa Modesta in Algarve recently and we were in the middle of cuddle with Ludo and Modesto (not human hotel employees but dogs. Just for clarification), M and I started reflecting on this.

Yes, I understand that some people are allergic and some are also afraid of dogs but we are so many dog-lovers out there who I am sure would love to stay at cool design hotels were there is one or two furry friends “working” on site making your stay even better through their mere presence. At least I know I would. Few things make me happier than when checking in learning that there is a hotel dog ready to play with you.

Below are three of my favorite hotel dogs that I loved hanging out with while staying at their hotel.

Beppe, Emma and Pablo from Masseria Moroseta, Italy

These three little rascals we met when staying at Masseria Moroseta in Puglia, Italy. My husband M has magic hands so this band of trouble makers always wanted to hang out with us. No not us, with M. Especially the middle one, Emma. She used to wait outside our room in the morning for us to wake up so she could get a proper morning cuddle.

Zoë from Spoor 62, Belgium

This little cutie is Zoë. She is the hotel dog of Spoor 62, a design B&B in the Belgian country side. This place is run by the lovely Irma and she is also the mama of Zoë. Our favorite time of day was in the evening when Irma had lit up the fire place and Zoë used to come walking in for a cuddle and to hang out by the warmth by the fire.

Modesto and Ludo from Casa Modesta, Portugal

These two energetic darlings live at Casa Modesta in the Algarve, Portugal. Modesto is the senior and the baby Ludo recently moved in. Both are rescue dogs and are the friendliest, happiest dogs that love to interact with us who are staying there. They also like to keep you company during a snooze in the shade under the pine trees. The funniest experience was one morning when the breakfast was postponed for 10 minutes since Ludo had managed to eat all of the cheese. How can anyone be upset with someone as cute as him?

So, these are three of my favorite hotel dogs.. Do you know of any other hotel dogs that you think I should meet? Please write me.
