Behind the scenes - Mango’s version of “Place to Read”

Behind the scenes - M’s version

One thing I really like is to see things from different people perspectives, both in life in general and also in this blog context. Since I most times travel with others I love when I get to see what and also how they experience things from their point of view. I have previously shared how my friend Jack experienced our trip to Los Alamos in California when we stayed at The Alamo Hotel. You can see that post and the film he made here.

This time it is my husbands turn. The one I usually refer to as “M” in this blog. I know it all sounds very mysterious and James Bond-y. Just like me, he also loves to take photos and he has a totally different style. The way I would describe it it he draws inspiration from a kind of 90s aesthetic and also a Spanish magazine called “apartamento”. What these influences have in common is that they are very real and unpolished, almost coincidental. Maybe the best word to describe it is authentic. Perfection is thrown out the window and what you’ll get is an account of how things are in reality with a messily packed suitcase, a half empty coffee mug or something that has just been caught in the moment. I like it lot (yes, I am biased) since it looks artistic and a little raw.

Below is M’s version of our recent stay at Place to Read in Iceland. You can read my blog post here, and below you can see how M captured what he saw and experienced.

Me enjoying the sunrise

Morning and the coffee is about to be ready.

Me checking the weather forecast waiting for my coffee to be delivered.

Heading to the lava fields dressed in multiple layers to keep the harsh Icelandic cold wind out.

After walk, sauna time.

My messy packing. Time to pack up and leave for new adventures.

About to go for a dip in the Seljavallalaug baths.
