6 exceptionally photogenic hotels

I love to take pictures. And it is interesting, sometimes when staying at a really great hotel, it can be difficult to do it justice in my photos. It is like the colorscheme just doesn’t look as good in a photo, or the weather makes the place look duller than it actually is or the I am not a good enough photographer. :-)

And then there is the opposite where you snap your life away and the photos are almost taking themselves and I end up with a huge amount of photos where it is a real struggle not to flood the post with too many.

In this post I have shared 6 hotels that looks just as good in the photos as they are in real life. Hotels that are exceptionally photogenic.

Paradiso Art Hotel, San Antonio, Ibiza

This Art Deco inspired hotel in San Antonio, Ibiza was such an easy task to take photos of. The white building with its curves and swirls and the way it contrasts with the rich 80s inspired design and color scheme. A clash made in heaven.

L’Arlatan, Arles, France

Color, patterns, color, art work, bespoke massive chandeliers, color, vintage details and even more color. L’Arlatan hatel in the cute Provence town of Arles is a pure joy to the senses. Walking around the hotel taking in all the joyful, cheerful design made my sould jump for joy. And thanks to all these different elements, l’Arlatan was an exceptionally easy hotel to snap photos of and if I dare say so myself, they really came out well.

Masseria Moroseta, Ostuni, Italy

Masseria Moroseta, just outside Ostuni in Puglia, south Italy is a dream in white. Here and there there are elements that seriously clash with the white structure which is what made this hotel so easy to snap photos of. It could be a massive, somewhat rusty wrought iron gate, an old bike leaning against a wall, an elegant grape vine or a dark grey thunderous sky before the storm begun.

Hospedaria, Tavira, Portugal

There is something about vintage pieces that make them look so good in photos. The patina, the wear that gives a certain kind of structure and a look that can give a photo the character it needs. Hospedaria just outside Tavira in the Algarva, Portugal is laden with vintage finds, combined in the most attract manner. And just like Paradiso and Masseria Moroseta listed above, Hospedaria is also an all white building which becomes a perfect canvas where the great design is allowed to stand out.

Birch Community, Cheshunt, England

Birch Community is a crazy place. An old manor where they have released the hand break and just go full out with bold colors and unexpected, eclectic design. it is a place where old meets new in the most unusual way and this mix, this clash, this combo make the hotel so easy to snap photos of.

ROSSO, Altusried, Germany

In the southern part of Germany, close to the border of Austria is where you’ll find this rural retreat. ROSSO is a hotel where wabi sabi reigns supreme. A tactile look where you just want to touch everything, let your hand wander along a sleek wall, pick up and hold a pottery mug or wrap yourself in one of the linen blankets. All these different surfaces mixed with the most beautiful wooden elements make for a hotel which is easy to take photos of.
